Bikes & Bugs is an annual event (think motorcycles, live music, vendor booths and a crawfish boil all under cypress trees along the waters edge) held by Los Guys Riding Club every spring for the benefit of the Wallis Family Foundation, a non-profit organization seeking to raise awareness for epilepsy. The club President, Chris Nelson started the event in 2007 along with Mark Wallis from the foundation and Dominic Mandola, the restaurant Owner. The event has grown each year since inception, and in 2011 they raised $81,000 for epilepsy awareness.

This website is a sister site to one being built for the Wallis Family Foundation, wallisfamilyfoundation.org, so the two sites needed to have design aspects in common yet reflect their own personalities. BikesAndBugs.org is geared towards promoting the actual event through photos, videos, social feeds, a calendar introducing the pre-parties/main event, and promoting the Corporate and Title Sponsors that put money and effort into making this a great event.

The site was built on a WordPress platform and heavily modified so plugins remained consistent with design parameters, while still giving site admins the ability to add content and manipulate background imagery. Check out the site and let us know what you think of it!
