Mike McGetrick came to Nelson & Co., LLC (N&C) in need of a new brand, website design and development for his latest golf academy at the Golf Club of Houston, after a long drawn-out and unsuccessful web construction attempt with an India based technology group. The time zones and language barriers were causing a number of communication issues and drawing the project out for months. Time is money in any business, and Mike was anxious to get himself established in the Houston area and start sharing his passion for golf. After all, Mike is one of the nation’s leading golf instructors with many accolades from Golf Digest and Golf Magazine. He is also a five-time Teacher of The Year with the PGA.

For the website design, development and framework, Mike wanted to highlight his main golf programs, technologies at the facility, some testimonials and information about the facility and his staff. N&C worked with Mike and his staff to choose a domain name, CMS platform where by, after completion, they would be able to manage site content and client appointment requests. A photo shoot was arranged with a local professional golf photographer, Hugh Hargraves, well known for his photography at the Shell Houston Open, which is held at the same golf course as the Mike McGetric Golf Academy. The photography really brought this site to life and gives prospective students a better understanding of the facility, its technologies and the level of instruction they will receive.

We are very pleased with the web design project and Mike has received a number of compliments from his peers. We are also proud to hear that the site is frequently generating new client opportunities for him and his staff.
